One of our preferred suppliers, Metropolitan Fine Printers and its research and development arm, Enviro Image Solutions (EIS), were big winners at Print Action’s 2008 Environmental Printing Awards (EPA), taking top honours in three categories — the highest number of awards won by any printer in Canada.

EIS offers the industry a ‘cleaner solution’ by extending the life-span of UV printing blankets by as much as 400 percent while potentially reducing annual blanket replacement costs by 70 percent. In addition to its groundbreaking work with printing blankets, EIS is exploring other methods to improve the sustainability and cost effectiveness of print technologies.
