Did you know that Canada is the fourth most successful Paralympic nation? Or that we’ve won 1097 medals since 1968?  If you didn’t, you’re not alone. In fact, when the Canadian Paralympic Committee approached us to redesign their website, one of their goals was to raise the profile of Paralympic sport in Canada – and foster pride in Paralympic athletes, particularly as the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games were just months away.

Director Kevin McMahon’s 2009 National Film Board documentary, Waterlife: The Story of the Last Great Supply of Fresh Drinking Water on Earth, is accompanied by a fantastic interactive website. Creatively communicating a host of inter-related topics, including dredging, chemicals, invasive species, power, fishing, history, wildlife, responsibility, action, and change, this site is a captivating way to learn more about what’s happening to the Great Lakes - and how it affects us all.

Ice Pilots NWT, History Television’s new real-life series about an unorthodox little airline in Yellowknife, is garnering massive ratings. Over 459,000 people tuned in for the series premiere on Wednesday, watching the pilots and ground crew at Buffalo Airways combat bone-chilling cold, vintage World War II era planes, and treacherous landing conditions to keep passengers and supplies moving in the remote North. This was the biggest audience ever for a Canadian series on History Television, and even beat out viewer-favourite Ice Road Truckers which aired just prior. We designed and developed the companion website for this action-packed series and are thrilled - but not surprised - that the show is taking off. Loaded with photos, videos, and tons of great info for flying buffs and Ice Pilot fans, the site also includes a unique interactive map plotting user-submitted stories about flying the North. Over 18,000 visitors have already checked out the site – and the map continues to grow with amazing aviation stories.

Stop by www.brentbutt.com and get a hit of humour from funny man, actor, writer, producer, and director Brent Butt. We were thrilled to create a ‘cyber-den’ for Canada’s top comedian, an online home for Brent’s babblings, hand-drawn cartoons, photos, YouTube clips, tour dates, and more. Check in regularly and follow along as the ‘technically challenged’ Brent gets up to speed on the ways of the web, including video logs (his first one is...interesting) and ‘tweeting.’

Inventa, Canada’s largest experiential marketing agency, knows all about creating memorable brand interactions for heavy hitters such as Coke, Samsung, Nintendo, Kellogg’s and others. Whether it’s event marketing, sponsorship activation, product launches, on-pack promotions or ambient media, Inventa has been developing imaginative ways for consumers to ‘experience’ a brand for over 13 years.

We figured if Inventa’s ‘experiential’ approach was a hit with consumers – why not adapt it for website visitors? Done right, we could give Inventa what they give their clients – an engaging, interactive, and authentic brand experience for their target audience.
